Manpower taps Michaely to head European operations

Senior executive is a proven leader

Manpower Inc. (NYSE: MAN) today announced that Yoav Michaely, 43, has been named Senior Vice President and Managing Director, European Operations, for the $11 billion staffing industry leader.

Michaely has almost 15 years of experience with Manpower, where he has held a series of increasingly responsible management positions. Since 1996, he has served as Regional Director for Southern Europe, managing the company's operations in Israel, Spain, Italy, Greece and Portugal.

"Yoav is a dynamic, disciplined executive with an outstanding record of accomplishment at the country, region and senior-management levels," said Chief Executive Officer Jeffrey A. Joerres. "His experience will play an important role in ensuring the success of the important growth initiatives underway across Europe today. And, with his proven ability to drive global best practices, he will help take our leadership in the evolving European labor market to the next level."

The United Kingdom and other Europe regions, for which Michaely is directly responsible, account for approximately 28 percent of Manpower's revenues. France, which accounts for approximately 39 percent of the company's revenues, will continue to report directly to Joerres.
